Life Time's Hybrid Fitness Competition Lands in Frisco, Draws 110+ Athletes

The inaugural LT Games Dallas brought hybrid fitness competition to the Dallas-Fort Worth area this past weekend, with more than 110 athletes testing themselves across 17 demanding workout stations at Life Time Frisco on October 2-3.

Lauren Weeks, a repeat champion from last year's Minneapolis event, claimed top honors overall and in the women's division with a finish time of 36:19. Noah Ohlsen, also returning as a defending champion, secured first place in the men's division with a time of 42:12. Life Time distributed $27,000 in prize winnings across both categories.

The two-day competition marked the first time Life Time expanded its LT Games beyond Minnesota. The hybrid fitness format blends functional strength, conditioning and endurance challenges while distinguishing itself from traditional CrossFit-style competitions through athlete choice.

At multiple stations, competitors can select their own weights—opting for lighter loads with higher repetitions or heavier loads with fewer reps. For obstacles like box jumps and step-overs, athletes choose from three different heights, adding a strategic layer to the competition.

"We were pumped to bring the LT Games outside of Minnesota for the first time," said Wes Robertson, race director for LT Games at Life Time. "Athletes and competitors from across the country left it all on the course and helped us break in the new HYBRID XT studio built specifically for this type of training and competition."

The Frisco event showcased Life Time's newly constructed HYBRID XT studio, a dedicated facility designed specifically for hybrid fitness training. The first such dedicated space opened at Life Time's Minneapolis Target Center location in 2025; the Frisco location marks the company's second purpose-built facility for the format.

Life Time reports that HYBRID XT programming now extends to multiple locations across North America and is accessible through the company's mobile app.

The expansion to Dallas follows two LT Games events held in Minneapolis in 2025 and 2026. Life Time operates more than 195 athletic country clubs across the U.S. and Canada and went public on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker LTH in recent years.

Beyond LT Games, Life Time operates the LT Classic pickleball tournament and oversees more than 30 athletic events nationwide. The company has positioned hybrid fitness as a growth category within its broader portfolio.
