Tiffany Stratton captured the women's Money in the Bank ladder match on Wednesday at First Horizon Center in New Orleans, claiming her second briefcase and cementing her status as only the second woman ever to win the match twice.
Stratton, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne and Lash Legend competed in a match marked by several serious bumps that left the crowd concerned for the competitors' safety.
The first alarming moment came early when Stratton climbed a ladder positioned outside the ring and launched a swanton dive toward her opponents below. She made contact with her legs but her head struck the padded floor with a heavy thud. Stratton remained still as officials checked on her, but she eventually recovered and continued competing.
Ruca added to the dangerous nature of the contest when she climbed the top turnbuckle and delivered a frog splash to Legend, who was sprawled across a ladder wedged between the ring apron and the announce table. Both competitors crashed through the ladder on impact.
Jayne and Vice took a tumble later when Vice applied a chokehold from behind while Jayne reached for the briefcase while straddling two ladders. They both slid down the ladder and crashed to the floor, both taking significant punishment but eventually rising.
The match's closing sequence saw Ruca and Stratton simultaneously fighting for positioning on the ladder near the suspended briefcase. Jayne emerged and shoved the ladder away. Ruca eventually released her grip and crashed onto Jayne, Stratton and Legend, leaving the path clear for Stratton to retrieve the briefcase.
Stratton's first Money in the Bank victory in 2024 led directly to her WWE Women's Championship reign over Nia Jax. With another briefcase secured, she now possesses a guaranteed title match whenever she chooses to cash it in, making her the most dangerous competitor in the women's division.
The match also showcased the depth of WWE's women's roster, with each competitor demonstrating technical skill and willingness to take high-risk bumps throughout the evening.
