L'Oréal Paris USA announced the 2026 cohort of Women of Worth honorees on Oct. 14, recognizing ten nonprofit founders whose organizations are reshaping communities across the country.
Now in its third decade, the program has invested more than $5 million in 210 women leaders since its 2005 launch. Each of this year's honorees receives $25,000 in grant funding, strategic mentorship and a national platform amplified through L'Oréal's media reach.
The 2026 cohort spans a range of social missions, including fertility preservation for cancer survivors, support for trafficking and domestic violence survivors, inclusive STEM education pathways and workplace equity advancement.
"What I love about L'Oréal Paris is that they don't just tell women they're worth it, they give them the tools to show themselves," said Kristen Bell, L'Oréal Paris's newest global ambassador. "These honorees took a spark of something they cared about and turned it into a real force — one that doesn't stay with them. It spreads. It reaches the next person, and the next. That's what really owning your own worth looks like."
The partnership between L'Oréal and Points of Light, the nonprofit selection partner, has maintained consistency since the program's inception, awarding ten grants annually without year-to-year volatility.
Women-led nonprofits consistently receive less philanthropic funding than their counterparts despite often delivering measurable community outcomes. By deliberately centering women as vehicles for change, L'Oréal's program addresses an entrenched funding gap in the nonprofit sector.
For early-stage and mid-stage nonprofits facing stretched budgets and funding volatility, an injection of $25,000 plus professional mentorship and media visibility can be transformative.
Bell is known for her advocacy around reproductive rights, environmental causes and LGBTQ+ issues. Her ambassadorship signals that the Women of Worth program is central to the brand's identity rather than a peripheral corporate initiative.
