The Alzheimer's Association announced the launch of the PROTECT-Cog Study, a global clinical trial designed to evaluate whether combining a proven multidomain lifestyle intervention with GLP-1 receptor agonist medications or similar drugs can reduce the risk of cognitive decline.
The study, described as the first of its kind, will test whether the combination approach is more effective than either intervention alone in preventing cognitive decline in at-risk populations.
