Arvest Bank, a $27 billion regional lender headquartered in the Southwest, is opening its first physical office in North Texas with a new loan origination operation in Frisco by year-end.
The office, located at 11025 Preston Road, will house a team of commercial lenders focused on business lending, including real estate loans, lines of credit and equipment financing. Arvest already manages a commercial loan portfolio across North Texas through its Southwest Oklahoma regional operation.
Mark Scott, a commercial lender who joined Arvest in 2008, will lead the Frisco operation as commercial loan manager. Scott previously worked Arvest's Southwest Oklahoma territory.
Arvest has appointed three North Texas business leaders to a new regional advisory board: Rick Warren, a partner at law firm Steptoe & Johnson; Lana Constantine, an assistant vice president in brokerage services at The Retail Connection; and Lupita Colmenero, chief operating officer and co-owner of LATINA Style, Inc., and board chair of the nonprofit Parents Step Ahead.
The advisory board members will serve as regional advisors and community coordinators, helping Arvest embed itself in Dallas-Fort Worth's business and civic networks.
Arvest has operated in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri since 1961, maintaining more than 200 branches across those states. The bank has not disclosed the size of its initial capital commitment to the Frisco office, lending targets for the first year or expected staffing levels beyond noting it is hiring additional commercial lenders.
