Toyota Motor North America publica sus resultados de ventas de junio y del segundo trimestre de 2026 en Estados Unidos

Toyota Motor North America reported 212,793 vehicles sold in June, a 10.1 percent increase from June 2025, as electric vehicle sales became the primary driver of growth.

Electric vehicles accounted for 57.4 percent of Toyota's total U.S. sales in June, with 122,063 EV units sold—a 35.0 percent jump from the previous year, TMNA announced July 3.

Second-quarter results showed 673,971 total vehicles sold, up 1.1 percent from Q2 2025. Electric vehicles comprised 56.8 percent of quarterly sales with 383,091 units sold, up 19.6 percent year-over-year.

Toyota's core division logged 183,627 June sales, up 11.2 percent, and 585,211 for the quarter, up 2.6 percent. Lexus reported weaker results with June sales of 29,166 units, up 3.9 percent, but quarterly sales of 88,760 units, down 7.5 percent.

"We're seeing consistent momentum across our lineup and growing month-over-month EV interest throughout the quarter," Andrew Gilleland, senior vice president of TMNA's Automotive Operations Group, said in a statement. He noted that Toyota's expanded EV lineup begins at $35,000.

Toyota directly employs nearly 64,000 people across North America at 14 production facilities. The company is expanding a facility in North Carolina to assemble automotive batteries for EVs, representing a capital commitment to domestic electrification capacity.

The consistency between June's 57.4 percent EV sales share and the quarterly 56.8 percent share suggests electrified powertrains have become established customer preference rather than a temporary trend.

Lexus's quarterly decline merits monitoring, as it may reflect market saturation at higher price points, competition from other luxury brands' EV efforts, or customers trading down during economic uncertainty.
