Activists with the U.S. Freedmen Project are calling out Democratic-led states, arguing they are inappropriately using slavery history to advance broader agendas while excluding certain groups from reparations.
The activists contend that immigrants and non-foundational Black Americans should be excluded from reparations programs designed specifically for descendants of enslaved people in the United States.
