Flight attendants have revealed a six-step safety routine they use when entering hotel rooms while traveling, a practice that can help protect any traveler.
The procedure, which takes about 90 seconds, includes scanning for intruders, checking door locks and identifying emergency exits.
Flight attendants say the systematic approach, sometimes called a "hotel room autopsy," helps ensure their safety during layovers and can be easily adopted by other travelers staying in unfamiliar accommodations.
