An independent arbitrator has ordered the Washington Post to rehire opinion columnist Karen Attiah, who was fired in September over social media comments about conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The arbitrator ruled Monday that the Post violated Attiah's rights as a union-protected employee and ordered the newspaper to reinstate her and compensate her for lost wages.
