Talks For Christ Announces "America 250: Honoring Our Founders"

Talks For Christ, a Grand Prairie-based media organization, is launching a three-part podcast series this summer examining American independence, faith and the nation's founding principles.

The series, called "America 250: Honoring Our Founders," features historian and author Jane Hampton Cook and is hosted by Dr. Bruce Oliver, who founded Talks For Christ. It launches June 14 on Flag Day and concludes July 4 on Independence Day, with episodes spaced roughly a week apart.

The first episode explores prayer and thanksgiving during the Revolutionary era. The second focuses on founding figures like George Washington and Thomas Paine's influential writings. The final episode examines religious liberty through the lens of Benjamin Franklin and poet Phillis Wheatley.

Cook, a former White House staffer, has authored more than 20 books on American history. Her most recent work, "A Great and Grateful Nation," frames American heritage through the concept of gratitude.

"Jane Hampton Cook's passion for American history and her understanding of the faith and gratitude that shaped our founders make these conversations both inspiring and timely," Oliver said in a statement.

Beyond the three core episodes, Talks For Christ is developing supplemental content including bonus conversations focused on Cook's latest book, a feature about the Space Force Hymn narrated by former Air Force Captain James F. Linsey, a segment on religious freedom in America by filmmaker Andrew Linn, and a ten-part series examining the Landmark Edition of the Ten Commandments hosted by bestselling author Howard B. Becker.

The series is underwritten by HimFirstMedia.com, a digital platform aligned with faith-based media.

The America 250 series will be available through Talks For Christ's standard distribution channels starting mid-June.
