Shivon Zilis, a Neuralink executive and mother of four of Elon Musk's children, testified Wednesday as a key witness in Musk's lawsuit against OpenAI.
Zilis served on OpenAI's board from 2020 to 2023 and worked with the company between 2016 and 2023. OpenAI has argued that during her time at the company, Zilis was involved in a secret relationship with Musk and acted as an informant for him.
Musk's case alleges that OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman, both co-founders of the company with Musk, violated a founding agreement when they restructured the organization from a nonprofit to a for-profit enterprise.
Musk seeks to have Altman and Brockman removed from their positions at the startup, one of the world's most valuable companies. He is also asking the court to undo the for-profit restructuring and award $134 billion in damages to be redistributed to OpenAI's nonprofit arm.
